The Vampire Lestat, Anne Rice, Vampire

My well-worn copy of The Vampire Lestat. The back of the book describes a rock and roll star. It put me off. But then I saw Nine Inch Nails play and I thought, hmmmm, this vampire playing a musician is quite feasible. Here is the receipt from the now closed Crown Books. I was a member (it used to be free to sign up) and received 10% off. This paperback only cost $5.99 to begin with. Oh, and there’s also a piece torn out of a newspaper listing all the movies playing at a Staten Island movie theater. I don’t recall seeing any of the movies listed. So why did I keep this? And that movie listing would be from when an old friend lived on Staten Island after we graduated from college. So I must have been rereading it in grad school.
