One of my favorite books. I saw the movie first and then bought this book used at an antique shop for almost cover price. But I didn’t know the book existed so I had to buy it that very moment. I was in high school. I read it over and over. Some newspaper clippings, one of the actress who plays Princess Buttercup, laminated. A short review clipped from the TV Guide. A photograph of the author, William Goldman. And a clipping of Winona Ryder from Dracula. Also, the book includes a pull-out map. Again, another note from my ex-boyfriend. Also, a small image of the movie poster from those mail order clubs where you order 10 movies for a cheap price. I never joined the club, but I pasted The Princess Bride stamp in my book. Also, a magazine clipping that noted The Princess Bride soundtrack as one of “Top ten scores to study and seduce by.” Not sure why I thought that was important. And finally, this book is laminated with contact paper, which I did myself, in high school, which is probably when I laminated the newspaper clipping of Princess Buttercup.
